The Anchorwatch Oilskin Blanket combines natural wool insulation with a weather-resistant waxed oilskin canvas backing, creating a durable warmth layer for life on land and sea.
Originally inspired by the blankets used by sailors standing watch on cold decks, the Anchorwatch provides insulation and protection from damp ground in a single rugged piece of equipment.
The wool blanket provides warmth and breathability, while the oilskin backing forms a protective barrier against moisture, wet ground and sea spray. This combination makes the Anchorwatch equally suited to nights on deck, camping trips or as a general-purpose field blanket.

The Anchorwatch blanket becomes a complete system with the inclusion of an optional matching oilskin drawstring carry sack and or brass corner eyelets.
Optional care kit
Wool & oilskin garments have been in production for many decades, and it is recommended to follow the same garment procedures for your blanket. We recommend spot cleaning either side - DO NOT machine wash or dry clean. We offer an optional care kit which can be included with your blanket, which comes with a re-proofing agent as well as a detergent, also made in Australia.
