Sergeant Hall was issued his 38 pattern cape in Scotland, a week into basic training. Hall kept it through seven years of military service during the Cold War and a career in building design & construction that followed, the cape eventually following him all the way to present day Tasmania. Hall donated his original cape to Kohutt 60+ years later, as inspiration for our poncho design. We hung it on a hook for a couple of months and walked past it until we knew what to do.
